MY 37 CHEVY 'BLACK MAGIC"

So, a while back I picked up this 37... titled and on a 38 chassis SBC/auto... I put the hooked up lake pipes and a few do dads

 

it came with the bows for a top... just gotta fins someone to put a stay fast black cover/or build a carson type top...

 

so it just sits a lot... and I get to thinking.. suede is kinda cool... but I wish it was shinny

 

I got the flatheads running pretty good.....aaaaaaaaaaand pulled the trigger

shiney black base clear....now i'm happy.....not a perfect car show winner... but perfect cruiser , cars and coffee runner...

 

Comments.....???? I think it's a betterment ...suede is kinda cool,... but played out out and it's just a short cut IMHO..

 

had a guy cut and buff this.... lots of detail left to do on the hard spots....and the edges.... but with my arm messed up... gotta do what you gotta do..oh well..

 

Oooh Steve, I REALLY like that one. Got a soft spot for mid 30s Chevys. Mitch

 

got the irons for a soft top.... thats next

 

Is that one of the Superior fiberglass bodies? The trunk was a popular change on those vs rumble seats stock. Trunk way more useful. Always thought those would be a good way to take a 4 dr sedan and use the steel front end and fenders, with the fiberglass tub. But then several years back the Superior fiberglass shop burned up.

 

this is one of those the guy passed and wife had a friend sell it for her... so no history... some of the mice in this cheese block knew what they were doing, and some just knawed at it... but all in all.. nice driver for what it is and no wood and rust...
