Hot Rods 1932 Ford Steering Box Rebuild Kit

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Troublemaker427, May 13, 2024.

  1. Does anyone know of a vendor who sells a 1932 Ford steering box rebuild kit? I'd like to go with the 15:1 ratio (33-34). The Early Ford Store shows their kit as being out of stock.
    Thanks

I have been looking for a rebuild kit for a 49/50 steering box for several weeks, but have not found any kits. All venders advertise but parts are out of stock. Now i am looking for a alternative. Good luck

I believe we have the 49-50 kits in stock. The recent back order situation was the lack of the sector roller kits and the worm gears. I know that our roller kits are back in stock and I think (but have to check) that the replacement worms are too. The shafts with the worms pressed on are still not available.

Remember what Ryan says about payment, .
Do not pay for anything by money order or check. Stay safe and use PayPal. It's really the safest way to buy anything over the internet.

I may have read it wrong, but I don’t think deuceLover is trying to sell a kit or be the middle man ?
Kiwi 4d’s advice is worth paying attention to.
From what I have read on here, it is best to avoid friends and family paypal unless you are friends or family with whom you are dealing with.

I have no affiliation with that company, CHS.I was simply responding to a request place by a member here. My French friend here with a 32 has searched all over the US and Europe and those parts are out of stock. He then found this CO in his expanded search. I Googled that Company and they have been in business since 1962 and manufacture steering components. Nothing of concern showed up.DO your own research. My friend is planning to order the complete rebuild set. There was another option from Australia at double the price or a New Neal Jennings unit which was very expensive but IMO worth it. The car currently cannot be driven and most used units are also worn out.
