I was looking at SW gauges and was wondering did SW ever make a clock to match the square block logo, green line, or wings logo gauges. I have never seen one, thought it would be cool if they did.
They did. The inscription on the clock face is great, too as is reads Stewart Warner Speedometer Corporation. These are about the size of their 2 5/8" gauges. These look really classy and bring good money. Typically they sell from $350 to $400.
Stewart Warner has made many different style clocks and many are still available, quartz and electric. HRP
Looks like it may have been made by Chelsea Clock and imprinted with Stewart's name below. It was a common practice with gauge makers. I have Ashcroft gauges with the engine builder's name on them(Atlas Imperial).
The typeface in that photo is a really early one. FWIW, Studebaker used S-W guages in most of their cars and trucks, except for the optional clocks. They were made by another company (whose name will come to me in the middle of the night). This leads me to believe S-W did not build clocks in the post-WWII era. jack vines
the new ones are the only versions I've seen with the block or wings logo. doesn't mean they never made them, only that I have never seen them.
Stewart Warner makes a clock with the block logo, however it has a newer look to it. These are available for $100
