  1. Grand Prix was on TCM today. 1966 was the year and it was the best of times. Woman were woman and men were men. Great movie, had my red wine sat on the couch , fire place going and snow outside. Great afternoon! 9889779B-7806-4062-B7A0-402507CE51BD.jpeg 5EAD383C-DE14-47EA-84BE-31BF69186811.jpeg

Which do observers here prefer from that era. Grand Prix with James Garner or Le Mans with Steve McQueen?

Just Gary and VANDENPLAS like this.
  3. Can’t go wrong with either…

Great movie, back then the car's were nothing but oversized go karts that any one of us could have built in our garage. Now the car is an engineering marvel and takes many millions to build.

  5. Two great racers who happened to be good actors too.:)

Shouldn’t that read as “had my beer sat on the recliner, ac going and sunshine outside” ;)

Laugh every time one of the real drivers pranks Graham Hill by tripping him at the race briefing. Liked Le Mans as well. Only contemporary film I didn't care for much was Winning with Paul Newman. It was more chick flick than car movie.
