    The computers required to reflash the ECM were much bigger back then.

    There were no ECM's in a 66 Chev 283. This is a standard diagnostic tool.

    The e.c.m. was hidden behind the Delta-Relay near the back seat. They had 6 and 7 ball bearing versions back then. Get your facts straight before commenting.
