The few pics with the hood up show an "outie" firewall which is a 33-34, instead of the "innie" of a 32. That means it is even more rarerer than the commonplace 32 RPU.

Found this while flipping through some of my old magazines , I will post anything else I run across as I continue to flip pages.
It's always a fun trip to kick back and flip. 20221204_160519~2.jpg 20221204_160316~2.jpg 20221204_160734(0)~2.jpg

Yup, that is the contest where the Eclipse beat out the Ala kart. It was a mail in vote deal

I have been following the adulation for this custom, and while I really admire all the work that has gone into it, I have but one humble comment. I believe that all those hot rod and custom experts who boo'd and hiss'd loudly at the Mark Mist owe the Wilhelm family an apology.... Just say'n....

I remember a story from when Jack Walker redid the car and Farhner had part of a old bumper jack welded in it . They had it chromed and gave it to Ray as a trophy for workmanship...LOL

Sorry Mark, I should have expanded that response a tad. You understand hot rods, customs, and more. You have a good grip on the different era's, and what trends influenced all aspects of auto design. That's why I enjoy your posts. Keep it up!!!

Another magazine I flipped through ,
Had some info on the Blue Angel that kind of made me laugh , in a previous post Moriarity commented on its drivability,
and the writer of the article had some comments also.....of course the writer was trying to sell a story I'm sure.
I owned a 27 t roadster that had been channeled alot over a double tube frame, it was easier to use the brake pedal with my hand than my foot, in the summer time I often drove it daily , I was alot younger and more flexible then.

I think the real news here is that Moriarty sold a car.

Scan_20221208 (6).png Technically, Mark sold a pickup. And the Trendero. And the 37 Chevy pickup from Iowa with the ultra cool interior. So he doesn`t like pick ups?

I found the reason for the name change , from "Blue Angel" to "Eclipse" , apparently there was some confusion going on , people were getting this "Blue Angel" truck mixed up with the "Blue Angel" that we know as the "Eclipse"...? Well I guess it's possible,
