Buddy sent me this add last week. Way out in the sticks of Nebraska! A real live hot rod. Hopefully it’s sold to a loving home by now but figured you guys would enjoy zooming in D5CBBDAF-C3D9-41BF-B6DA-435537BCA8DD.jpeg 283B6017-0381-4C7D-AB3D-08B9C33C4F04.jpeg D0AB19F1-E98D-402E-8444-7306A9B310AD.jpeg 92726FA8-0E7B-459C-844A-EEF0C3305718.jpeg 17BB32D6-7894-43DE-B082-5591ECCBD9CF.jpeg 85CAE578-85F7-4E04-AF4C-02CF8E572912.jpeg B69261F5-7B00-4244-A501-C92A21386B3B.jpeg

In the last picture, the frame at some time was used as a Hay Rack. You can see the remains of the tongue in front of the axle. I bought a 33 frame done exactly the same way. Pretty common in the upper midwest.

  7. Don't write about it repeatedly. Go for it.

I’ve written about it once, and I’ve got no interest at all in buying it. Just thought it was neat and I’d share.

been fun zooming in and identifying parts trying to figure out what year it may have gone together.

@vinfab wagons made out of old chassis are common around here too. Especially the Model A with it being flat on top which makes it easier to add the wooden bed to it. It's probably saved alot of frames.

Yeah I’ve seen a lot of $40 farm trailers turn into useable hot rod frames rather quickly. Get lucky with some shitty stick welds and it’ll even steer without much trouble.

Riverton is a village in Franklin County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 89 at the 2010 census.
    That's right, 89...

  22. That would be quite a roadtrip Torana . The old hotrod must have race-history as well. See the pushbar and altered wheelbase .

I think it may have 47 ish axles/springs front and back with stock placement of crossmembers. That would explain the rear axle being moved forward.

  26. Your correct about the axles , looks like the engine is set back so that the fanbelt pulley can clear the crossmember thus the body is set back to clear the fuelpump. Those kids in Riverton did,nt worry about that way back then and the 20 other citizens at that time could,nt give a shit either  Fun days in the boonies
