See if you have any Hispanic owned upholstery shops in your area they may be able to do that type of innovation we have many here in Phoenix I saw a local shop that did one in a '54 Victoria maybe check out some lowrider shows in your area.

Didnt need the 3 through the olds lense, wont be doing that on both sides. Just factory ford 3 screws and add two in the ford lense for the olds lense

  12. I dig the tail lights. On mine I used testors model glue to put 59 cad bullets over the centers. They've held on for over a year in all conditions. Just an idea if you want to secure the two lenses together permanently

I didnt want them together permamently only because the factory ford tail light screws are inside the olds tail lights, but as it sits the ford tail lights screw in then you screw the olds lights to the ford lights and they feel snug and secure! I may still french the bezels in, theyre rusty anyway. Im giving the car to dad for christmas this year though so i need the floors done, carpet in, seat in before i do that, hopefully running and driving too but we shall see haha might be a blessing to have it incomplete, make a father son project out of finishing it

Gave the car to dad for christmas, it wasn't quite as far along as I wanted but it was time. He seems to be pretty into it, we went to the local salvage yard grill hunting. Found a 52 willys aero and almost pulled the trigger but decided in the end to buy a repop 55 ford and go that route, dad likes that better and I have to agree! I think I am going to hit the brakes on metal work for now and see if i can get it running driving and stopping. Heres a pic of the basic look we are after, wont be changing the hood corners though Walt-christian-1953-ford.jpg

I`d cut the floor out and start over. Do some sandblasting and use proper sized pieces of metal. Your dad is worth the extra effort.

Mail call! Harness and a cpl voltage reducers, going to finish the floors minus thr trans tunnel (for access to trans mount and shift linkage) then going to pull the engine and trans and strip old wires out/ paint engine bay and install new harness. Paint engine then button it back together, hoping i can pull it off within next cpl weeks. Goal is to prep and paint the body when the weather warms up and have dad cruising by the summer 20220119_154218.jpg
