Technical What is this clamp from?

    Seen this today. It’s clean and super nice.

    F1 box turned down with…

    what is it? Where can I get one?

    It’s from a VW van, ‘50’s (?), for sure 1960’s and maybe early ‘70’s. The one you pictured has been trimmed up a bit.

    55/61 VW bus. It looks like they cut the part that goes on the side of the frame off taking away a serious amount of the strength of the bracket.

    Had the whole bus box and bracket on my T bucket in the mid 70's.

    You’re probably right but I thought it was a clean piece. It’s on a traditional 29 roadster built by a traditional 84 year old guy. Also I guess VW vans were made in the 50s. So, I’ll give him credit for being traditional.
