    very good info - but, would leave the average guy in the dust - just look online, pick cam/lifter set and go

    Agreed. Bottom line is to buy a set from the same manufacturer. Mix 'n match might be catastrophic.

    That's good info, and undoubtedly is part of the whole cam failure issue all blamed on the oil

    Dose GM still sell solid lifters? Got an old '140' cam under the bench, never installed....o_O
