    I looked at that too. On the right front and with a doubled center wheel, I would have to guess it's just not fully assembled. At first glance it looked like he was just using 3 lug nuts, but closer inspection showed me two nuts and three bare studs.
    In the 80's Doug Wolfgang used 3 studs and nuts on the left front of the Wiekert's Livestock sprint car in World of Outlaws races because they were lighter than a knock off plate and nut. Wouldn't apply to Smokey's asphalt car.
