IMG_0430.jpg I'd like to thank @Runnin shine for upping my detail game. I'm at the point where I am making my own stainless cline and wiring clamps.
Thanks Wayatt you have turned me not pervert.... lol!

On a serious note I got the valves set today and the engine is smoother and quieter. I should have the clutch linkage sorted and reinstalled tomorrow. All the wiring is done and the temp gauge seems to work great! Not sure about fuel yet. I only put 5 gallons in the tank, it's 16 gallons which makes the gauge barely moves.

Well six years six months and approximately six days from when I started this project it has plates and will drive down the road today.
I just need to make up a throttle rod and horn button to be running and legal. I will probably put the side glass in as well because it's looking like rain this morning.

Well it runs and drives! I put 10 miles on it in the last couple of hours.

Needs a leaf on each side in the back and two up front. (The box sides are kissing the U bolts.) Bump stops and hammer work to follow.
Needs a big package of sound deadner!
Trans growls, but it's seems to be getting quieter.
Side windows, weather strip and door panels should help cut the noise.

Me and my daughter are off to our first cruise! 30kms through two towns. Should be fun!

Woo Hoo! Taking it to the cruise the first day reminds me of heading to Texas in my son's Stude and having door windows installed in Reno and working on it each night along the way. I stayed a week to finish the car while he got moved into the dorm and attended orientation classes at Texas Tech over 20 yers ago.

64585230067__EC2360C7-F07A-4D07-AF47-EFC0B9525F09.jpg I have a pretty big list of thing s to fix and finish. Going to work on getting the engine tuned and getting the brakes bleed a bit better. I need to trim the box sides a bit as they hit the axle, I'm also going to put some leaves back it.
But I'm happy it son the road.
