Good post, thanks. With over a million 911's, 21 plus million VW's, almost 2 million Corvairs's, and a whole bunch of Super Cars, I think that they might have a different opinion of what's normal. (yes, I have had and I do have a Corvair).
Ah, Point Pelee Provincial Park in Leamington Ontario. My in-laws would spend every weekend in the summers there on the beach. That is , until around Labour day weekend when the biting black flies were so bad you would get eaten alive and they would warn you at the gate they wouldn't refund your entrance fee because of the flies.
I’ve never owned a Corvair or a 60 Plymouth for that matter but enjoy looking at all HAMB friendly cars no matter what the brand. I remember seeing a few later Corvairs made into funny cars but didn’t realize there were that many until the photos on here.
When you post pictures on a car forum such as this, you are tacitly opening them up for opinions from the members. As far as Corvairs go, I had the use of a '61 4spd Monza coupe in the Summer of '62. It was in perfect shape but zi found it less than fun to drive and was glad to get rid of it. I suspect the later turbochsrged Monza convertibles were more amusing to drive. I did think the styling of the Corvairs was nice especially the gen 2 ones. I was never much of a fan for low priced cars like Falcons and Chevy Ii's either. They all seemed tinny to.me. There is another unsolicited opinion for you not to like
