Hot Rods New Carpet

    Just finished putting this carpet in the heap. It's not really carpet I guess, some kind of paneling the guy threw in when I salvaged some plywood from a trade show exhibit, 3 10' rolls. But it sure looks good, to me, and was super easy to work with. The backing is flexible plastic. Cuts with scissors, no frayed edges, doesn't even need welt. Drill and screw right through it, no pulled strands. Only down side is it's not moldable, fortunately my floor has no compound curves. Durability remains to be seen but it sure seems tough enough.

    Looks good! When I wore a younger man's clothes I worked for a crew cut wearing dude in Portland that always used to say "free is a very good price".

    That surface looks like the material I am looking at. I think it is like a cut pile. I guess it is kind of thin, but it flexes easy. I don't need the most expensive carpet. It is a driver. Not a show car.
