They are driving lights. I found a set of NOS Lucas flame throughers (circa 63). I have Lucas backup lights as well. I really like the look. 20200727_164906.jpg 20200727_164807.jpg

There's a limit to my abilities, lol. But that looks great! They make a great full custom. I'm going for a stocker type look with some 50's accessories and an altitude adjustment.

I didn't see this before or is this the before?
If so, loose the mirrors, the funky bar on the rear, go back to chrome bumpers,
loose the skirts and add lancer flippers, and maybe a slightly bigger rear tire diameter!

I'm way too big of a hack to make the bumpers chrome again, but that's what I'd like to do if I could, I'd also like to see some chrome steel wheels or maybe Lancer style caps, but here's my modest effort. The roof stuff would be incredibly difficult to do in the steel, but I wish the factory would have done them this way. I've always loved this era of Plymouth but the 2 door sedan roofline always bothered me a bit.

I know I am crazy, but I feel the taildragger custom look would benefit from a mild sectioning of the wild oversize of the fins. Maybe tip them in a bit and take 3" or so out of the height.

Meh. I guess I am too young for the huge fin look.

Thanks guys..Believe it or not when I was building the Chevy I was fortunate that it had the original Fisher body build tag on the firewall which gave the original paint combination and color code which was black and Bordeaux Maroon. I belonged to the Vintage Chevy club at the time and one of the members was able to give me a paint chip which I had matched. The color combination and details are exactly as it was when it came off the assembly line back in 32. Here's a picture of me doing the final furnishings touches after I painted it in my garage. I have painted a number of cars over the years so I wasn't new to the process and a made a makeshift paint booth with plastic poly sheeting and furnace filters in one garage window and an exhaust fan in the other.

  29. I wonder what it would look like lowered and some chrome aftermarket wheels, like something out of the 60's.

If the admin pulled a 1947 American Made product that fell under the guidelines of a 1964 cutoff then I must be missing something. More than one American jeep has been hot rodded and drag raced.

I might also add, these photoshops projects aren't real. These are just "what if's" that allows the participants to show their skills and help others with their requests.
