I'll try this forum section...I'm looking to see if anyone else has frame swapped a 58 buick special. Just thought it'd be good to hear from other people on what they did or didn't do. Issues or things they would have done differently. My measurements show me an s10 extended cab should work with modifications.
    Thanks.

  3. The question is why are you contemplating this ?

mist frame swaps are a bigger pain in the ass then modifying your existing frame.

the Buick frame is large and heavy duty for the weight of the car

lots of clips and diffs that will fit with some modification

Chevy truck trailing arm diff set ups seem very easy and popular.

a jag front clip and rear diff are damn near a drop in on the oe frame

there are also a lot of upgrades available for your existing steering and suspension/ brakes etc.

the torque tube on your car is a structural member

the s10 frame has a tall kick up in the back for the bed that won’t work for you, not to mention I’m sure it’s much narrower then the Buick frame.

What’s your plan with the car ?

That's right, it's none of your business. He's looking for assistance, that's not a big ask.
