Projects Model A door handles

    Started with a 5" dia. Schedule 80 pipe.
    Sliced a section out. Found a couple of 1/2" dia. ball bearing.

    How much tech is in pipe and a welder?

    Way to go joe !
    Traditional for sure... no aftermarket then...
    you or someone fabbed the part...
    in shipyard towns lots of guys could get stuff chromed on the cheap...
    For 24 years we electroless knickel plated at GE... pretty close for the price…

    Inside handles that lift.
    Interesting enough, saw a Model A caberlay ( think I spelt that wrong) today with rotory style handle and I'm pretty sure it's stock.

    Obviously need to finish, but this an installed shot.
    I know...I know! Sacrilege electric windows!
    Guts out of some Toyota, very thin motors with balls.
    Used slider door contacts out of Dodge Caravan.
    I'm in my shame corner now. Sorry guys

    Before anybody's hemorrhoid are set a blazing, I'm an ol'school hot rodders that has forever walked the junk yard for my parts. Even use the Hollander cross ref books( ya,THAT old!)
    Guys like us were the FIRST recyclers.

    And to you guy that are doing the same...I tip my hat to you.

    First time I drove thru a toll booth on GW bridge near Manhatten, dropped the window, paid, "Nice!" was the attendant's reply. ;)
