Pee Wee Wallace (RIP) from Richmond, Virginia. Hard racer in that time period, when on to run several different Funny Cars (floppers).

Since we are on page 1963 here are a couple of photos from the 1963 US Nationals. These guys were pretty successful and are local guys.

Here are a few shots from Denis Doubleday's collection for your amusement and edification.
A couple of "Starvin" Marvin Schwartz to start with. I am guessing is the car the pre dated the "Anaconda" which was recreated in recent years.

Blair and Goldstein. Leroy Goldstein had a long history in both T/F and F/C and is probably best known for his exploits in various Ramchargers cars

Bill Crossley and John Edmunds. From Bakersfield, Crossley drove Ernie Hashim's car in the late 50's before transitioning to car owner status. Rick Stewart and Connie Swingle also drove for Bill

The Dunn and Reath "Rainbow" car with one of a number of versions of the multi color paint job. This car was restored by Pete Eastwood and is in the John Neas collection.

Still trying to figure this one out. In the era of this shot Cosa Nostra cars were run by both Johnny Gaines, Fausto Marino and Chuck Webb as well as Webb as a sole owner. Gaines and Marino were from Maryland and Webb from New York with Webb's car being recorded as a Zeng chassis. This looks to be a Hanna bodied Don Long car so it is most likely the car driven by Bub Reese for the trio. Marino also drove before Webb joined the partnership but crashed in 1965 at Dragway 42. Gaines started out as a driver in the early 60's and Webb also drove the Zeng car as did Al Friedman.

Roo , Chuck Webb is on the " List " as having bought a new Don Long car .
As a matter of fact , the Chuck Webb , Don Long car was recently " redone " as the " Hawaiian " by Cory Conyers for a client .

Thanks Pete. The timeline on the Cosa Nostra cars makes a little more sense now.

Steve Melise's Top Gas dragster. One of the first 8.71 blowers. Car is on the west coast and will be restored.
