The swastika on the front didn't mean what you think. It was back when the German helmet and such was worn by the surfer's. It was just like the 1%, peace and all the other symbols back then. A symbol just like art or anything else means what you want it to mean. Hitler did not come up with that symbol, it was around way before Hitler came to be. It was later removed from the car anyway.

  7. Another fad of the surfer generation was to wear a German Iron Cross. As a skateboarder in the 1960s, I remember it well. I used to own one. My Dad who fought the Germans was not amused.

It also was a Native American symbol, not sure what for but we should not stray too far off course here.

BTW...lots of hot rodders, surfers, skateboard kids, bikers, had that sign..it was the counter culture movement that was going on during those times..meant to freak out the squares..

  14. No, but it was an NHRA record holder. That may be a clue.

  20. Yes, real vintage girls were much thinner. They did not have all the fast food crap around to eat.

I don't know but she sure tightens my jeans. Reminds me of my GF from the early seventies. Damn, the ones that got away.......

  25. And where is the trophy? The girls may be "trophies" themselves but that is not what the thread title is referring to.

  27. Not really but I like the thread and would hate to see it get shut down due to going too far off topic and non-HAMB friendly.
For example: VW picture with girl but no trophy. HAMB rules clearly state NO VW's and thread title mentions trophy.
