This may have been the solution to a coupe that had a hacked truck bed conversion???

I got a new one to play with. A good friend of mine, Gene Johnson, put this 41 together in the mid 80's. I knew this man for about 10 years and would see him at local shows all the time. He was always telling me about this truck and how he'd like me to come look at it. And that it was for sale. Long story short I never went to see it and he passed away. The family had an auction for his cars and stuff and I didn't make it to that. The truck was sold to another local long time hot rodder. I told him the first time I saw the truck that if he ever wanted to sell it to let me know. I'd ask him every time I saw him if he was ready to sell it. Well one day not too long ago he said he would. I went and looked at it, drove it and bought it. Thank you so much Art Harness, I so appreciate it! I've been working on it 2 or 3 weeks, never drove it more than around the hood and then took it to a small town show called the Hobo Happenings in Douglass, Kansas. It's put on by Ed Jennings and crew. About a 90-100 mile day and the old truck did great. I'm going to drive it around, tinker with it, get a feel for it and see where it goes. I love the truck and every time I sort something out, clean something up, polish what's shiny on it I feel like Gene Johnson is smiling up in heaven. This one will stay with me until I'm gone. I love it! hamb1.jpg

  19. Man this is cool! Sure looks like my '34 Chevy. Is it an old picture? Looks like it's on radials?

  20. Cactus, judging by the look of the valve covers, headers, apparent head rests on the seats and the tires do look like radials, I'd say it's a modern photo. MAYBE?? I might be wrong though..Mitch.

1951 Ford F1 farm truck. Used to be an old prison truck, the prisoners actually fabricated and installed the front and rear bumper as well as the steel bed and headache rack. IMG_5716.jpeg IMG_5003.jpeg

My 63 C10 Custom short box fleetside still has the 230 I6 with three on the tree. Still working on the 327 getting it back together like it should have been in the first place and then after the 327 is completed I will be buying a manual trans off of a HAMB member and putting the shifter on the floor. I figure I'm still a year or more away from completion, God Willing?

RUINED ? ? ? Are you guys kidding ? If both you guys weren't Alliance Members, I'd think you were FordBarn guys. (they don't like chopped tops much over there).

  30. Look at any other chopped '40 and tell me the windshield on that thing is a good job. I like chopped tops just fine, but not ones where the windshield looks like the back window.
