Isn’t there a thread on here about box vans?

  2. I think I was the first one to mention it. I didn't vociferously object to it, I didn't really care one way or the other. I merely question how anyone could consider that hot rod material.
Now I will go before someone gets bent out of shape and calls this a facebook post...
    Back to rods & customs........

The Vintage Trophy Girls Thread isn't about traditional hot rods or customs.

I think this whole forum is pretty well "streamlined" as gwhite super moderator calls it. Perhaps, if someone sees a thread they don't care for, or a post they don't like in a thread that they do... maybe it would be okay to just skip over it and let others enjoy.
Traditional hot rods didn't have disc brakes, 5 speed transmissions or air bags, but a very large number of those things get overlooked and nobody says anything about it. If the theme of this forum was strictly adhered to, there would only be a few dozen threads available.

  10. I've seen cars built from worse than that '28-'29 A Coupe that Rusty Bullet posted. Even if one has to come up with another right rear quarter, what 's visible looks pretty solid. A lot of guys would like to get their hands on that cowl and driver's side door. The floor pan looks pretty solid where the seat riser goes. A friend of mine in Anniston AL built a nice '27 Model T roadster pickup from the front half of a touring car he dug out of a ravine in Alabama. It was a lot rougher than the '28-'29 A coupe in the picture.

I'm going to go out on a "limb" and say Chevy since there seems to be a lot of wood in it.

The rear fender looks like a 34 Chevy Master. It easy to tell a 34 Master fender from a 34 - 35 Standard Chevrolet fender. The bolts on the Master rear fender are vertical, while the Standard's bolts are horizontal.

Here's a photo of a 34 Master fender, and my 34 Master coupe.

    RustyBullet,

If you dig those cars out please document the dig and share the photos with us on the HAMB. Everybody loves to watch a treasure hunt!

And if you can somehow use a hippo pedal boat, so much the better.

Like George Washington's hatchet, the blade has been changed twice and the handle once but it's all original;)

Rusty Bullet, I’d help dig those out if I were closer, but then that A coupe might end up ‘missing ‘ while you weren’t looking....
