What size tires are you running? That's the stance I'm looking for and don't want to throw money at the wrong rubber.....Thanks!
Thanks man. Going to put a pipe going straight back off the headers but I do kind of like them like this haha Thanks man. I’m still undecided. It’s going to stay bare metal for a while. I am leaning towards something like the body was when I got it though.
MONSON! Where in the heck is Monson? Haha... I just say I'm from Springfield to avoid the confusion. Don't forget the Pathfinder Car show tomorrow. https://www.facebook.com/Pathfinder-RVTHS-Car-Show-147296974014/
Looking good. I suggest you box the frame. It really stiffens it up and you won't be sorry you did. Here's a pic of my coupe. All 40 Ford running gear and a 276 Merc
Missed that one. Been busy working. I own a hot rod upholstery shop on zuell Hill Rd. Middle of no where haha Thanks. Good looking car you have there. For now I’m just running the k member and rear k legs.
The show was nice, beautiful day.. My brother won best un-restored with his 32 BB dump truck. I thought I recognized those columns behind your car in the avatar, I stopped over a couple times over the years, to look at the fastback. If you ever need to look at a mostly stock 30 coupe for reference, let me know, I'm always looking for an excuse to drive it.
Very cool! The mustang? That thing sat there for a long time. Used to be my grandfathers house. Appreciate it, it’s always nice to have something to reference.
Nice to meet you yesterday, sorry I couldn't hang around with my generator failing. Actually, I was just waiting for it to quit, so I could switch it over to a 12v alternator. Here's a pic of that sport coupe I was talking about. I had it on here for sale, but I can't let it go.
Nice meeting you too. It’s always something with these old cars. Stop by some other time. That sport coupe is cool! I wouldn’t want to get rid of it either.
I've had this 31 coupe body in my shed for 5 years, my plan is to graft the two together and start my own build.
Just read your whole thread. You definitely brought that body back from the dead. The car looks really nice. Your seat looks great. I bet you don't have any shortage of work. Looking forward to seeing the car finished. You said you wanted heads to match the intake so congratulations on finding a set. I see where you said you pulled your steering column from a junk yard. Zero chance of that here in the UK. That's why I made most of the parts for my 27 T roadster and made do with what I could find and adapted it. Its that or spend an absolute fortune.
Thank you!! Definitely no shortage of work here haha. I’ve been going crazy. Pretty cool that you’re able to make a lot of stuff. Adapting and creating is what this stuff is all about.
Started working on the wishbone mounts. Going to have to pie cut them a bit but getting closer. Also started messing with this crusty old steering arm I picked up at Hershey. Bought another 59ab motor too. Thinking about rebuilding it over the winter as I’ve never gone through a flathead before.
Yes your motor looks just great. I really like it. Congratulations on scoring a second motor. I made my entire 27 T roadster body. Its tough finding decent parts here in the uk.
Good stuff! Went through your thread. That’s a lot of hard work. Very talented. I’ll be building a T next and making a lot from scratch as the body I have is rough.
Got the bones pie cut and the caster set tonight. Everything tacked in. Going to bring it down to my buddy’s shop and use the 220 welder to finish everything. Also I found the last hinge I needed at Hershey.
