Made it to the start. Registration tomorrow. Saying hi to old Drag Week friends.... pics later, after I see something picture worthy
More pictures from my brother from yesterday. Today is day one of competition at Virginia motorsports park then driving to cecil county raceway
Thanks for the pics! We're keeping an eye on the weather, the forecast last night looked bleak, but not so bad today. One picture, which shows a part of Drag Week which most folks don't get to see. This is the hotel parking lot presentation to Jesse Maddafari, he's a fellow who's been driving his John Deere painted Chevy truck on DW for several years, and he is always late getting to the next track because he was helping half a dozen broke down racers get going again. He's building a new car, but doesn't have the money to get it done. A few of the regulars got together and decided to do something about it...put out the word that they were going to help Jesse, and they collected over $8 grand and a bunch of parts. We presented it to him last night. Sorry for the lousy picture, but that's the best I could do.
Re: Post #70 above A great example of the old school hot rod spirit surviving the onslaught of modern commercialism. Thanks to the folks like these that made this happen there is still hope for the future! Ed
I heard that Blasphemi went 8.75. All bets are off it Finn can keep it together all week. Go get 'em Jim and Brian. Bent
Squirrel that is amazing! Blasphemi went 8.75 @ 159. Just put a brand new motor in it, for his sake I hope it stays together. I believe hot rods website has the live stream link
Live Stream starts at 7:40 ET on Motor Trend on demand, from the best I can tell. Not real easy to find on the web so far.
I hope its streaming somewhere else, motortrend's app blows! I cancelled my subscription in february.
Yep it is. I think that my 37 and a 29 ford will start the racing good luck to everyone Sent from my SM-G930V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

Weather has been rough, but the sun is out now. We should be running in an hour or two. Sent from my Trimline
Tracked finally dried, ran about 12-14 cars and then a massive oil down, looks to be a long day for all there.
Heard the Franklin went a 30. Fastest I heard so far was a 6.2 from sick seconds 2.0. I heard the route is up 95 then 301 to the Baltimore beltway. Good luck dealing with the traffic gentleman
