Thid olds is behind s repair shop in Utah. He said his dad started thd shop and car has been ther "almost since new"...
Looks like it had a small engine fire... and now probably a rotten frame from the soft soil...but it's a nice looking one

  6. That sure looks like the place where I stopped to talk to a guy there years ago. If my memory serves me right, two brothers own all those and they would not sell anything because they were going to "fix them up" someday. The guy I talked to didn't mind talking to me and letting me look, there was everything from late 30s to rare 60s muscle cars there at the time. There were more cars back then and they were more haphazardly scattered around. When I talked to him I thought he was about 20 years older than me so he may no longer be with us anymore.

Edit: Upon further research, that isn't the place I was thinking of. The place I was thinking of is in Georgia just south of Chattanooga on 2 lane hwy that goes through Rising Fawn Ga.

I looked at these last fall. I didn’t share at the time because I thought I needed to buy them.

I don’t know ‘40s well enough to know. What are the engine compartment differences?

I got some pretty good stuff, some 56 Olds flipper wheel covers, an original 57 Chevy 4 barrel oil bath air cleaner, a 61 Imperial "square" steering wheel a couple small porcelain signs, some original 60's AMT model cars and a bunch of misc. 40's and 50's hubcaps and wheel covers. Started in Alabama and made it about 1/2 way through Kentucky. We have now covered the whole 600+ mile route from Michigan/Ohio border to Gadsden, Alabama over the years.

  17. Found this 40 Mercury this spring. Tracked down the owner. Very nice older widowed lady. Said she had no use for it. Probably would go for scrap... Her asking price was very fair. I took it home. I will find a good home for it. I have too many projects now. .....

  26. I spotted this 58 Ford sitting on a trailer. Rotting? Not for long I hope. I don't think the price was bad. That's before any offers.:) 20190810_124129.jpeg 20190810_123942.jpeg 20190810_124012.jpeg

  27. There is a pad next to the dist. It will tell the engine size. 228 or 248 and if your lucky a 270 or 302. the GMC engine has value.
