Technical Frame modification for fully fendered A

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by indomwe, Jul 14, 2019.

  1. I plan to modify my frame/Z the rear to allow me to run either an A spring or T spring and a quick change. My A is fully fendered and currently has an 8in and coil overs. My question is if I Z the frame the width of the frame rails will that be enough to get the ride height correct so the car sits with the fenders filled correctly?? Photo is my car now with the 8 in and coil overs which I want to get rid of. 20190608_180832.jpeg

Nice looking coupe....you don't have z the frame if you go with a T spring. You may want to remove some leafs but that is trial and error. Search for Ron Brown and how he did it with his tudor. Turned out really nice.

  5. If you Z the frame your going to hide the quickchange rear end. HRP
