These convertible top pins have a quick release button in front of them not working very well on some of them, I need to purchase new ones. If you know where I can purchase them please let me know thank you very much I thought I had a Bop Top but not sure
'Lift the dots' is the common name for them. Almost all upholstery suppliers would have them. Sent from my SM-G973F using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Thank you for the help during my search I don't find the push button type is this something different there is a push button at the end to attach and release before you can remove the top
Here goes, lots of choice out there, ships chandlery sell them for use on boat canopies as well. Sent from my SM-G973F using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Would need more pictures to identify but it looks similar to the one I have from Lebaron Bonney. Too bad they're no longer in business.
Those look interesting. I assume the female side has a spring device to attach to the male. Can that female piece be welded without destroying the spring? I'm thinking of using it to secure my hood top.
Tom, you can get them at a trim / auto upholstery supply house .A local one is on the south side Oak Lawn on 104th street. The name is Lite products and was called DuBouis fabrics at one time. Auveco is the company who I made those. How many are you looking for and have a few used ones from projects
I agree with KFC they ain't Lift the Dot, they look more like some kind of Tenax, more difficult to get but you get them at boat places and upholstery shops, some of those places don't even know what they are or where to get them.
Continentaljohn, I haven't been back to Dubois for a while, they were on 111th street about 5400 or so, they have since closed, probably 4-5 years now. I beleve they have relocated to Warrenville under a DLT UPHOLSTERY PRODUCTS name. I bought all my inerior stuff from them over the years, real nice place to deal with- a little QUIRKY but nice. You can still order everything you need off the website. Just a FYI,,Mitch.
I like the sort of oval style that turn 90* and pull back a little that locks them there... bottom row 2nd and 3rd compartments in the above pic... upholstery buddy calls them "common sense clips"... I like the ones with a hole on each side so I can use them on wood or steel...
Sent you a PM. BTW. your top looks exactly like the LeBaron-Bonney that I installed on my roadster, including the back glass. Looks bitchin' on your roadster.
I bought my fastners at the Old Car Centre in Langley. Probably came from Macs . Macs who sold Lebaron Bonney products also has a another line of the same thing, called Cartouche.
Those are called Cinch stud fasteners. I have them on my ‘29 Roadster. The only ones that are hard to find are the ones that go in fabric and hold the rear window up to the interior ceiling of the top.
