Can you get it outside for some wide angle shots before the snow flies?

Too late for that, snow is here possibly to stay. :(
I do have shots with the old wheels and tires (Excelciors on now) before I tore it down for paint and chrome.

    Also before the drum brakes.
The headers are slightly different now too.

I threw in a few shots of it in Rod Tops shop in Michigan when I had the top built.

It’s come a long way from the start of the build back in 2010.

And then this past week and even now, probably all this week too I could probably be out cruising around.
Nice and warm and sunny and no snow to seen.

    Instead I’m wiring away :D
I opened up the headlights and installed
Bullet connectors on all the wires so that I can have a point to remove the headlights and wires in the event that has to happen in the future.

  5. Yeah I wanted to try and start my truck this afternoon but it is so windy I didn't want to open my garage as it would be full of leave in 10 minutes. Too bad as it is nice out.

I’ve got a nice Sthil backpack blower to take care of that problem ;)
I’m sure looking forward to when I can get mine running.
    It’s a big deal isn’t it.

Since I have to wait till Monday for delivery of my new American Autowire wiring kit :( :D

I turned my attention to other stuff on the list.

I shipped my speedometer to Classic Instruments to have it converted to KPH.

I just thought it would make it easier to know what speed I’m going instead of always trying to remember what the conversions are or do math in my head. :D

It should be helpful in the speed on green camera intersections etc  :D

Then I got out my door latches which I had disassembled and modified for reassembly after powder coating.

A little moly paste grease inside and they’re ready to go.

So in anticipation of getting my windshield back with glass in it and wanting to install it I broke out my pile of 3M stuff I got last winter in Texas and started cutting and polishing the cowl.
Trizact foam backed discs wet, first 3000 and then 5000.

After that 3 steps of 3M perfect it polishing compound.

Only one possible problem but then I think it’s going to be fine since I don’t live in California :D

The only things that don't cause cancer in California and the things that aren't there.
I think the foam on the exhaust will work out fine once you run it a while and the heat smoothes the wrinkles out.

Only California folks have to put up with their rules and regulations. All of the US has to live with OSHA.

Back when I went to work daily I was a construction manager at the local VA hospital. That is; I coordinated architects, engineers, construction contractors, and the VA folks that ok'd payments. OSHA could show up unannounced any time they wanted. I know for a fact that one contractor got a fine because the scaffolding they were using had parts that were painted different colors. One time I was in a meeting with an OSHA inspector and all the contractors who were working in our hospital at that time. The inspector asked one of the construction foreman for the MSDS for the steel studs they were using. Took all of us by surprise. Why in the world would anyone need a MSDS for steel studs???? Of course he didn't have one. IIRC there was a fine involved with that also.

OK, sorry for the sidetrack. Back to this excellent build thread.

Blue - I've been subscribed to this thread since the day you started it and am very impressed. I just don't want to take up bandwidth to post every week to pat you on the back. You deserve it, though. This is truly inspirational. I hope that if I live long enough to build any of my projects that I can do half as good.
