I'm going again and again as a spectator. I didn't realize one could quit going once you finally started! I try to take a different car each year. This year it is my current avatar, '29 AV8 Sedan. I camp at the gravel parking lot just off the highway across from the gas station/store. Red GMC w/camper and red enclosed trailer.

It's not mine. I sold my roadster (seen to the left) because I could not maintain and run it any more. Bob Dalton and I have been friends for going on forty years and have had some crossover between us on our race cars. Since I had roadster cash. And they could use some help. I did. But it's still Bob Dalton's car. There are several people who put lots of time, effort, and money into the Flashpoint car. I think and hope this will be the year that it all comes together.

We leave Colorado Wednesday the 8th, drop the trailer in the pits Thursday and ready for tech on Friday!!

They have sure done well at El Mirage....

 

We will be there......taking my 9 year old son for his first of many trips to the salt.

I understand that the 'Cruize the Casino' will be highly changed for this year. No parking in the front of Stateline.
All parking will be moved to the upper deck of the parking structure. I am sure this will limit who will be able to park and not much cruizing.. It's a Casino, they want customers inside buying there terrible food with crummy service. Oh and the machines that want your racing funds.... It's their sandbox...

 

We have lots of new parts. And a good attitude. I hope for and expect some big numbers this time.

 

We have all of our big parts in ours for this year too. We just need the salt to be right.

 

I can't wait! It is my first time too after aborting a few years back when they cancelled. I see lots of friends in this thread are going as well so I look forward to seeing you @ol55, @383deuce, @Irishjr and I am sure a bunch of others since I did not have time to read through this in its entirety. I will be there all day Saturday and Sunday the 11th and 12th.

 

Going for the first time. Leaving Tue the 7th, be there Fri, Sat, and Sunday. Can't wait.

been spectating since 2008 every year its on. @h.i. and I are heading out saturday morning from denver. We set up above the bend in the road with the scorpions and the hard ground... One too many wet potash incidents on the bend.. CANT WAIT.. STOKED.

 

Any HAMB get togethers this year at Bonneville?

first timers, big hat sun glasses no shorts. reflection off salt will cook certain parts of you that need to remain covered

 

Does anyone know if there is coverage of this on Youtube?

 

I believe LandRace.com will have on line coverage. Sound only or maybe text. No video.

 

I heard there would be a live stream on Monday the 13th all day. Don't have any details though.

 

I know the Bang Shift guys will be there. Don't know much of anything else.
