My current project is a "r-word", but it's so cool I thought it might be appreciated... 20180728_151355.jpg 20180728_151432.jpg

Nothing wrong with a 58 Buick wagon. Very cool. Looks like it's in great shape also.

Lot of wisdom in that character!

My wife might not find me handsome, but she admits I'm handy.

You gotta know I am lovin it:D We had a 58 Estate wagon when I was a kid. Dad always said it was one of the best cars he ever owned. We hauled a camper all over the place plus regular every day use. It had over 150K in 68 and never had a valve cover of the nailhead. When he was dealing on a 65 Buick SportWagon. they offered him $200.00 trade and it pissed him off so bad he told them he would let it sit and rust into the ground. Dad was a man of his word, it is still sitting in the back field returning to the earth!

My dad had a '57 Estate wagon, lots of good memories, your car looks great, good luck with it.

Reminds me of the early 60's when my dads boss had one of those. Often on Tuesday nights we (both couples and four young boys) would go to "buck night" at the local Maryville, MO drive in theater, the Dude Ranch Drive In; $1.00 admission for the whole car, regardless of how many people you had in the car. Sounds crowded to have 4 adults and 4 youngsters in the car, but I don't remember it being any hardship. That thing was huge. As best I can recall the big Buick wagon was about the same color as yours.

And just to make sure we keep this car related, the staff all had to wear western costumes. The next pic shows some of them and the company car. Sure hope this wagon still exists and hasn't been made into toasters and Mazdas.

Love the color. I had a friend back in the early 60's who had a Sierra Gold 1957 belair 2 door hardtop. I think that was the name of the color? Very similar to yours.

Buick called this color Garnet Red and offered it in 1957 and 1958.
I think it's very similar to Sierra Gold, but I was surprised to learn that it is a different paint code.
