Thanks for the tip, Deuces. History Channel has been running good stuff as of late. Can't say the same for MAVTV, rerunning Ian Russel's kit car show into the ground.

Heading home now to watch it... The wife dragged me out to get a bite to eat....

 

First 15 minutes was cool. Too bad they got "Rocket 88" wrong.

Unfortunately the editing is pretty sloppy. Lots of pictures of cars that don't match the narrating, lots of erroneous information. Still, it's interesting enough, but if you're a car guy you'll be yelling at your TV.

 

I worked for Pontiac Dealer in '60. They did not ship 421 SD motors in a crate to customers. And yes the editing is quite a bit sloppy

 

Yeah, that was one of the big boners they pulled.

 

For those that missed part of it, it'll be on again at midnight... Check your local listings....

 

Hilborn deserved the tribute, but so many others did, too, but weren't mentioned. Not to nitpick, glad History is doing Car Week.
