Where did the gauge panel come from? Exactly what I've been looking for but every time I think I find one it's out of stock!

I've got my gauges waiting for that exact panel!

    Thanks,
    SPark

I bought them from this company in the UK
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pair-BB-V...721008?hash=item284e157570:g:yZkAAOSw9p9aV4UW
They are made for the AC Cobra Kit car market so may be worth seeing if any manufacturers in the US make a similar seat. Mine were shop seconds advertised with a little bit of damage and were very cheap but didn’t matter as they are getting retrimmed later this year

  6. It's a repro of an old Stewart Warner boat panel. Commonly available now.

Damn I missed that, truth is it was windy, blew all the crap out and across the street, except that one branch.

Really nice project! Like the headers, have I missed who made them?

They are Speedway Motors headers, P/N 930C32. Love the fit and give plenty of clearance for steering and starter. Will not let you install an old canister filter, I tried. Here's a pic of that area. IMG_20180307_170454.jpg The speedway gasket is even cut to fit the flange.

It is going to be a nice car! I can't figure out why you are going to use those tupperware looking seats though. I wish you well in your retirement!

Those seats are just for mach-up sizes and scale, cheap too, I'm an old aircraft mechanic, homemade aluminum bomber seats will be the final version.

Glad to hear that Splitbudaba! Bomber seats should be pretty nice in there.

Also plan on a roll bar with the old style X in the center.

A roll bar in a glass car is a good idea. I would think that fitting it in the car and retaining enough leg room would be a challenge but I am sure yo will figure it out. Note: I don't mean to malign your fiberglass body. I own a Wescott fiberglass 39 convertible that has been on the road for 30 years and it is holding up great.

No sweat, I am happy with my choice, and to be truthful, after seeing what some guys go thru with an old rust bucket, I'm glad I picked glass, not to mention the cost, my body cost $3500. Besides I've been working with the stuff since the 60s, it was on my soapbox car, my dad had the lab at work mix up some resin, mixed them together, smeared it on, turned back, the label on the can caught fire, made some heat, not to mention the hardest finished product. I think I have just enough room for the roll bar and rear support struts.

Well retirement is rushing at me. Tomorrow evening the coupe goes into storage for an undetermined amount of time. Feels weird, I will put it up on jack stands to save the tires, a few covers, and some mouse poison. I guess I'll post some pics of the sad event soon.
