Sounds good, I really like the sheet metal door and kick panels you made, IMHO they should be body color, could be too much black in there.

Ya we talked about doing them body colour. I’m gonna get the interior together and see how it all looks from there. The carpet is a lighter tan to go with the dark brown seat so it won’t be all black

I like it. Yet another thing our builds have in common. I am going with a Royal Maroon.

Can’t tell you what the colour is it’s highly classified... ha ha just kidding. It’s a ppg colour called organic maroon. I can get the number for anyone if needed.

Got the body back on the frame and all the wood put back in after staining it all. No fun putting wood back in that's for sure. Body's all shimmed and the doors are all lined up so we are happy! All of the remaining pieces are getting painted now then we can get the car back home and start on final assembly. Balls in my court now to make it happen! super stoked for the rest of the job. I've had a lot of guys as for info on the paint colour. I will get the code for the paint and post it for everyone. Thanks for all the compliments

  13. Aren't those wood kits fun! Just put mine in for the second fitting after many mods. Now going to pull it back out and finish the wood. Your car is just perfect. Job well done.

Ya I didn’t think it was gonna be a slice of bread that’s for sure. Thanks for the nice words. It’s rewarding for sure to see the car at this stage as having stared at it so much for the past couple years during the build you envision what the car gonna look like painted. Can’t wait to get it home and start assembly.

Got a question about the wood. I refinished mine and when I put it back in, I’m not sure if the front side brackets should be bolted into the header with the brackets in front or behind the right angle going across the front ?

Won’t meet a better guy! His truck is a real barn find outta Saskatchewan that was an old farm truck! Zero rust!!! He’s got big plans for her

Got the deuces all rebuilt with the speedway tripower rebuild kit. I modified the choke on the centre carb to be a manual unit. Didn’t want the old heat spring causing me grief. Super happy with how they turned out. These are not the air cleaners I will be running. Can’t wait to get the motor rebuilt and see this set up sitting tall on her!!

Nice! I see on pic 4 I’m missing the one bracket. The middle one that connects the quarter wood to the top piece. Never had those. No biggy, I can make em. In this pick of these couple style wood brackets, one of each kind are originals and the other ones I had to make as I lost the other ones!! Ha ha good thing I got that skill on hand! Thanks for posting the pics.

Thanks@ vtwhead, that first pic is the one I needed. That bracket is in front of the right angle beam going across the front. Looks like you have some welting to make up the space between the header wood and the right angle beam. Thanks again, answered my question.
