I built this 20 years ago. It has many original parts including the 32 shell, dropped axle and the 1962 vette 283. The powerglide is an air cooled one that I pulled from my 1963 ss nova. I have been wondering where it went and by chance today I find it for sale on line. If I were a wealthy man I would buy it back for twice what I sold it for 18 years ago.
A compliment to you that it retains your build status still. I'm sure it hits a sweet spot in your heart. Hopefully it goes to someone who appreciates it for what it is...a cool Hotrod...
It happens...the current Hotrod I have hit the pretty much all the right notes with me. I will be passing off pretty much what I received. I do compliment the original builder and the upgrades through 2nd ownership. Both did good in my eyes.
That doesn't happen very often! I try and stay in touch with all the Buyers of my Builds, but over time there's a disconnect. How lucky for you to have the opportunity to even seen your car again. Very Kool!
The cool thing about this one is that I have been searching for it since shortly after I sold it. 20 Years later it pops up, unchanged. This made my day.
very cool. I like it a lot. But, my favorite of you builds will always be the orange coupe with the flip up body. That car is seared into my brain.
Thanks doc, I still have the orange coupe. I’m working on building another car in its style, this time it will be a ford.
Is the person that's selling it now the same person that purchased it from you or has it passed through several other owners? To remain unchanged would be quite a compliment as to your workmanship. Just curious.
I do not think it is being sold by the same person that I sold it to. The guy I sold it to was from New Jersey, I believe, and it is in Florida now.
I’ll second that. Buy it back. It deserves to be with you. Just think about the smiles and memories you’ll have every time you drive it.
Orange coupe with the flip up body. GASP, For a second there I thought you were talk'n about the Orange Crate
I don’t think it’s on ebay. My buddy sent me the link to the site it is on. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to buy it as I just doubled the size of my property at home and this left me a little broke. The orange coupe is not the orange crate, but , i like to think it is a pretty cool car in its own rite.
Buying back a old car is like a x wife or girl friend get it back and you will remember why you got rid of it in the first place
