This has only happened twice in nearly 20 years.... once back in 2012, on my way to a pre-deployment picnic lunch with other deploying families with our kids, a worthless car came out from a side street straight into my door, got high up on two wheels, ended up on the footpath (sidewalk) on the other side of the street had to get towed...:mad:
And today, lost power to the ignition.... o_Oo_O all fixed now and ready for the weekend... :):)

    Giddy up...

It happens when you drive 'em! Glad it was a quick fix.

  8. LOL if you were in the northwestern hemisphere I would say that is what AAA is for. ;)

What most people do not understand is that we are building cars from cars that were driven everyday and using parts from cars to do that from cars that are or where driven every day. If you build it correctly and keep your general maintenance up you should be able to climb in it and drive it every day.

On a stretcher twice in 20 years and one time because you got tagged by another driver, I am going to say that you must have built that one right and keep your general maintenance up.

Thanks for your words... putting together a usable hot rod out of mostly used parts is one of the attractions, to me, of this past time.

Stuff happens, one of my buddies had his own wrecker and one day I was broke down on the side of the road and he shows up and proceeds to hook up to the 48. His wife had spotted me on the side of the road and called him and told him I looked like I needed help.

Ted, those chocks hold the straps which go around the circumference of each tire and are tensioned to hold the car down on the flatbed.
