Hey all, I've got a problem with a set of early juice brakes, I think they're '40, but I'm not 100% on that...

Anyway, my issue is with the brake shoe adjuster. How do they come out!? There's that big ol' spring on the back, and on the inside it looks like some sort of c-clip, but I can't seem to pop it out... hoping someone knows what's what.

    Thanks, Mike

I think the cam thing is swaged? peened? need to cut it off, than when putting back together weld it back on. Is that your question?

Yeah, pretty much. Didn't want to get to cutting things that didn't need cutting!

There's is a C clip that holds the middle of the shoe tight to the backing plate. If you undo the bottom adjusters, and all the springs, you can pull the shoes outward and remove them from behind those C clips.
