The passenger was 3 years old in the first part of the video. His Mother was driving the roadster and his dad was on the hey sweep. His brother was helping me fire the engine.
Hood is on. Glad I fit it several times before I painted it. Next is on to the top for final finish and installation Walter
I have been busy trying to diagnose a slight noise in the right rear. Thought maybe a bad hub but everything was new Finally checked the basics. Loose wheel. After close inspection I realized that when I converted to press in studs the shoulders came through and didn't have enough threads. Made some 3/16ths spacers and all is well. I did get the top irons and bows refurnished and installed. Next is to invite my upholstery guy over to get the news on what an upholstery job costs.
One step closer to the upholstery shop. Test fit rear window frame. Now to get glass cut and tempered.
Day 4 of upholstery. Very impressed with the shop. Owner of the shop is working on layout as well as fitting the seat to my body. Great design layout. Long way to go but will be worth while.
Getting closer! Very happy with Scott at the upholstery shop. Should be done at the end of next week Walter
Door panels are installed band working on carpet. Suppose to be ready to pickup tomorrow or Saturday morning!!
Well I have been trying to dial the motor in. Little more timing, went from #45 jets to #44 jets. Still seems a little rich but much better. Heat gauge quit working so I sent it in for the 3rd time to get repaired.
I couldn't take it any longer!!! After a nice rain yesterday the salt is off the streets so I took the Flyer for a little drive. Felt great to get behind the wheel after several months covered up in the garage. But winter is still here so back to covered it gets and hope for an early spring!
