On the set of "The War Lover". About B-17 pilots in England during WWII. Dopey love triangle melodrama, but some very cool flying sequences make it worth a watch.

First attached photo is Bobby Unser winning the Pikes Peak Hill Climb in 1956. I believe this was one of his Jaguar powered cars. Great photo at any rate.

I can't identify the second photo with the big car. Any information on this one, Rootie?

    Thank you.

Really don't know anything about the #47 big car. I believe it is at the Pomona fairgrounds and the wire wheels and round nose would suggest around 1949/50 give or take. Just guesswork on my part but a good looking car none the less.
The # 3 midget is, I believe, Sam Hanks at Gilmore or so the H in the front bumper would suggest.

I’d never get that lucky finding a set of Coupes just waiting for me at the yard. 5181EA79-5D39-4C8C-9B1B-55E3E3A0FDCF.jpeg

That's the way I remember them stacked except 3 high in a salvage yard in Tulsa late 50s early 60s. All the stock car bodies came from there 25.00$ each. Of coarse the one I always needed was on the bottom.
