great story! you certainly show some skills we all wish we had. some bad decisions, well we all do that. the one thing i notice you do wrong, or didnt mention, is my most talented friend also hits things with hammers, but he screams "you inanimate object you" at the same time, and man he does some nice work. now i suppose its the end of story because you got a model A body to work on. best wishes

Holy Buckshot Batman was this possibly a getaway car owned by the nasty couple...?

These ole Dodge/Plymouths have really nice lines and when in doubt jalopyize it which its very obvious you are pretty darn good at it... @ Johnny Sparkle nice Hotrod on the go here...

This picture above was 2.7MB that I believe is the problem for the people here loving what your up too...the huge files are overwhelming their data downloading...It even slows to load on my desktop with Hi Speed.

I downsize my pics with Photoshop for web to about 300k each some of your pics are 4MB big and that makes viewing when there are many a waiting game.
There are other programs that you can use to make your pics smaller or set your camera or phone to a smaller size that may help. Your thread really needs to have pics reduced to helps the Hambers see them.

So @ Johnny Sparkle I have downsized these in hope it will allow those that can't see to see some of what is creating interest including mine...good job your doing.

  8. So what happened to the Rambler? Where'd you have the sandblasting done?

  9. I'd say it's a pretty good pace !
The plymouth is at 5 years but there's 2 other builds in that same 5 years. Not sure how much time went into moving and remodeling but also in that same 5 years.

That plymouth is pretty damn extensive and you've brought it thru a long way and very well. I know there's plenty of 40 hour blocks of time spent on it where little or nothing shows and that gets a fella burnt out. So let's do a quicky project in there. Trust me I know.

    Nice Rat Rod.

Seriously, though, great looking coupe. No matter how long it has taken, I enjoy following along and learning from your approach at building cars.

I sold it to a fella in Ohio. For the sandblasting, I went to FT Moore on the north side of town by the big veterinary hospital.

That's my old Model T sedan. I posted the whole build on the HAMB back in the day, if you're interested enough to look for the threads.

Thank you for this highly informative thread. I am just an amateur screw-up. But someday, with the help of threads like this, maybe I can screw up like a pro.

  21. Great thread and awesome fab skills and the story telling is tops. One issue keeping running through my head while reading and laughing out loud. There was no mentions of future ex girl friend or spending money on new tools that you for sure do not need instead of the car, or building some type or rat rod bicycle to pedal around on. That's what most people do. Please carry on with this great post, the HAMB has needed this for a long time.

Sparkle! Welcome back. Your T thread was epic and this one has the same style. Like the HAMB used to have. (More fab, less bought)

  23. What's the problem? You can only see one side of the car at a time. No one these days has an attention span long enough to realize the sides don't match.

Best description of Harbor freight tooling to date.
My model A falls into a similar category, just not as well documented.
