It was great seeing that big Ford running those top end numbers. Can't wait until next year to see you win .

  3. I was tore up when you lost that final round. Good solid showing for sure and it was an up and down year. Good times.

  4. Thanks Tony cant wait to root for you in a final i think its going to happen next year for sure. I think everyone there was rooting for us. I learned alot on track conditions at that race. We never did make a clean pass in the left lane. I wouldn't change a thing I did though even if I could that's a learning lesson only will make me better in the end. I'm really happy with the cars performance and can't wait til next season. We will be hitting local track in the first thing in the spring to get it sorted out with the new found power. Thanks everyone for the support.

  6. You are correct but the tracks open up usually first of April. I want to make it go down a cold track better. We didn't make any really clean passes this weekend. The car did best with less power once we got the tune good she was spinning like crazy.

"I'm making too much power. Boohoohoo"

To have such problems! That thing is just an animal.

  9. We had to much clutch in the car with the extra power it was making now that it's getting wide open throttle. But the track conditions were not that great either there was leaves all over the place. They were falling faster than you could get them off. Here's a pic of the track after sitting for 20 min. off.[IMG]

Well I think it's time to revive this thread and get some updates on some cars. I haven't posted much on my car here in the past year or so, so I will get you guys up to date on what's going on. The car is coming along, has lots more to go but it will get there. I am very grateful for my fellow border bandits on the help and knowledge of getting to where I am currently. That being said, let's get some pictures of what has happened.

Had to remake the transmission mount to put a drop in it for it to line up with the 3rd member.

Cut some more of the firewall out to give it a clean look and room for the motor.

Had a cage mocked in and it wouldn't have passed certification so had to cut it back out and redo it. This is the 2nd go around getting the main hoop in.

Got the seats mounted and a driveshaft loop mounted.

Drivers side header is tack welded together. I wanted chassis style headers and these turned out great thanks to Joe, Kip, and Art of the border bandits.
