I bet it goes overseas at pretty close to the asking price.

Really a great looking hot rod, seen it many times before. As I recall, it's a recent build (I believe in the 2000's) done in the old style but up to rolling bones specs and quality. It's obviously a driver. with a few trips to Bonneville. All that being said-----Is it worth 100K? I guess that comes down to how bad do you want it and can you afford it. The price of finished 32's has really taken a hit the past few years, so does that mean this newly famous car is a returnable investment at 100K? Again, how bad do you want it and how deep are your pockets? Bill

    What, the price?
But then again, it does come complete with a "Certificate of Authenticity" issued by the Rolling Bones.

I told my wife that the Best time to sell a hot rod is between Christmas and New Years with a single ad in the Autoweek classifieds

No thanks, even if $98,500 was just 'pocket change'.

If I owned it, it would take that kind of money to have it leave my garage.
I know the Bones guys, but I never asked 'how much to build one'. They are artist and they are not 'knocking them out'. And one day they will stop making Mona Lisa's, then what ya gonna do?
Yes it is WAY OUT OF MY LEAGUE, but they did let me sit in Pottet's red coupe they brought out to the salt.

I would be willing to bet it takes at least 100K to have a pro shop build a steel 32 these days, particularly one that isn't a pile of 1-800 parts. I'm not a 32 guy, but that is a pretty bitchn car with the added cashe' of coming from the Rolling Bones shop. I dig it. But I don't have 100K....

That's a very, very nice car and a good driving car.

  24. For $98,500, I'd be shopping for the real deal, not a 2000 era replica.
Someday, this car will be the real deal, just not in 2017.

Was listed two weeks ago, only reached $73,200. My guess this time around would be a little lower, Due to many reasons. First starting off is that's it's ending in the morning on the Friday before a 4 day holiday weekend. Can't tell you how important it is to know how and when to list on ebay for maximum ending prices.

OK lets see who gets closest to the ending price. I'll throw out $68,100. And your guess is...

I found the wiring nest and the rather generic engine a big disappointment at that price point.

Well it is a Bones car and there aren't many of them and it is well proven to be reliable to the Nth degree and able to be driven anywhere any time the owner feels like jumping in and going. And ownership most likely buys one an invite to tag along on future cross country blasts and the notoriety that goes with it.
I'm a fan of their workmanship but not having seen one of the cars in person can't say much about the finish or lack of finish one way or the other.
One thing I do know is that If I had it I'd drive the living hell out of it and grin all the way. The engine may be boring to some but it will run at 80 + all day for days on end without an issue only wanting gas stops every time the needle gets over there.

For $100,000 US dollars you should be able to buy a much nicer 32.

too much money, you would have to put another 20 grand in it to finish it.
