hi, we are in town for Back to the 50s and have had a casual look for HAMB friendly shops., but perhaps missed them on a search , over good old local knowledge
Any tips appreciated over the next few days ,before it gets crazy at the event.

Unfortunately there are not any store front shops here that specialize in traditional cars like you see on the west coast. Plenty of guys building them in their backyard shops. As mentioned above, Titus has a great place to visit if you can find him home.

I know the Street Rodder Power Tour is hitting all kinds of stops this week leading up to the show. They are all staying at the headquarters hotel and the one right next door.

Don't Forget Little Dearborn (if the University Ave shop is still open). Not sure when the relocation is supposed to happen.

Thanks Mark . Sure was worth the visit to French lake auto . A very organised yard with a old jalopy to suit anyone for what ever make. Seeing so many makes was a real blast. We got there 15mins before the street rodder power tour guys rolled in.
Spent a few hours BSing with a guy in Mound MN looking "at his old junk" as he calls it.
That was a treat that Mark Moriarty gave a chunk of his day to share his superb collection and as a plus we got to ride in the Astorian , and despite protest he insisted he buy us dinner at the Minnetonka drive in diner. Thanks .
