I am a huge fan of Vic Jr. He took a relatively small business his father created and made it a world wide leader of the industry all while resisting the temptation to move production overseas. Thanks, Vic, may you rest in peace.

    Hello,
Condolences...a great man and company. In 1960, we were getting thing organized for the upgrade build of our SBC for our 40 Willys Coupe. We were talking to a friend in Los Angeles about what we were doing and asked about an Isky Gilmer 671 kit for an SBC that were just coming on the market. Our friend knew Ed Iskenderian well. Low and behold, the whole kit arrived shortly thereafter and a surprise was inside this box. A brand new Edlebrock 671 blower manifold, straight from the factory.

We did not ask about the manifold, but our friend knew Vic Edlebrock from back in the old days and he probably told him about our future build for the Willys Coupe. The cost for the whole Isky Gilmer belt kit was discounted anyway, but the cost of the Edlebrock Manifold was no where to be seen on the cost list.

It was a total surprise, but a very welcomed addition to our limited, teenage, expenditure budget for the build. What a great guy... friendships are very important.
