Thanks. The car is pretty rough since I did it when I didn't really know what I was doing but hopefully soon I'll tear into it and redo the butcher work just under the surface.

However the side trim swap was really easy and one of my favorite things, what I really wanted was a chopped Merc look and the side trim adds that door dip (kinda) like the Mercs had.

The door pieces swap right on, just have to drill out the clip holes and it goes right on. The rear quarter trim has to be shortened up a few inches but that's it, and it sits right on top of the bulge in the quarter panel. The front fender trim you need to use some good clips with long studs on the top part near the headlight to pull the trim into position but it does go, and you have to figure out a good way to finish the little spear that would usually bolt onto the headlight bezel on a '56 (I just left it off, it's OK but it could be better).

I'm sure '55 trim would work just as well, it's a little thinner. I bet it would look really cool with that coupe roofline, I'd like to see it photoshopped onto that car.

  5. Your example looks like a satin finish so that's what I went with....

Thanks TheMoose! Looks great and thanks for adding the rear bumper. Sure does complete the look. Could you do it with a gloss finish please? An then 1 more with the 56 trim and color scheme with dark upper down to the trim and lighter color below. Thanks a ton for this!!

57 300....thanks. I'm trying to acquire it from a friend.

TheMoose....thanks so much. That looks awesome!! Onemore request if its not too much trouble.
Using the last picture can you make the upper/dark color a charcoal gray and the bottom a lighter gray.
Again, I really appreciate all of the effort that goes into this. It is invaluable in helping make decisions and preventing big dollar/effort mistakes.
    thanks,
    NRM

P.S. And don't think I didn't notice the subtle changes you made. LOL

Of course I'm biased, but that coupe looks damn good with the '56 trim on it like that. About a 3" lowering all around and that car's got it made.

Actually the rear has 3 inch blocks in that picture. What throws it off is that the tires are up on the concrete apron.
Next is Aerostar springs and shocks.

I have another request. If possible, could someone photoshop the light blue color of my '59 Bonneville onto the body and frame of the '31 Pontiac along with a white firewall and roof insert? I need to satisfy my curiosity. Thank you, 31 B'ville P1010378.JPG

Hemmings has a 1949 Packard Henney hearse for sale. I thought that would be a good candidate for digital customizing.
I lowered the body and added '54 Packard sombrero wheel covers. Shaved the door handles and the Packard cormorant on the hood. I completely restyled the front to emphasize the trademark tombstone grille. The roof crown was flattened and then chopped about 2 inches. Finished with a spear on the side.

  22. If it's not too much trouble I was hoping for a quick respray.

I am curious how my 60 Yorker would look in satin blue. With black steelies
I'm including a pic of the blue I like along with some random google image Yorkers that may be easier to recolor than mine. A pic of mine as well. Thank you.

Once again Moose, thank you so much for your help!! I don't think any of the colors you've shown would be a bad choice, but I am really liking the light blue.

Hey themoose, I received one more request if you don't mind. How about this version with the upper in the dark charcoal and bottom in the lighter gray. Appreciate it and thanks a bunch! NRM 53 Photoshopped 2 tone.jpg
