squirrel, 1 week away till Tucson. I hope I get to meet you. I am bringing all the toys. My twin brother will have his cackle car there too.

 

If I get the motorhome out of the "coach" shop, I will be there with something for the car show.

 

Trailer loaded and hooked to the motorhome. Heading south late tonight or real early in the morning. I'll have the J5 Model A with the hemi in it.

 

Car packed, ready to go. I'll only be racing Saturday, but I might drive something else up tonight or tomorrow.

 

It sure is windy. Neat cars

Great pictures guys, thanks. Looks like an event we will definitely have to attend next year!
I've never seen the Steinegger & Eshenbaugh Aladdin Plating dragster - what a beauty. And the Brasher & Cummings Willys looks great for all it's been through.
Man, I wish I was there.......

 

First time I've been able to see it and was great even with the high winds. Next time I'd like to make the kick off party and hang out Friday and Saturday.

 

Matt, Jim..Any more A/FX or N/SS type cars?

 

Not really, FEDs in force though. Think a lot of people are still unaware of this event.

 

My racing didn't do very much...I made a run in the morning, car ran slow although it felt ok. I didn't really feel like messing with it, with all the wind. I stuck around til around 9 and went home. Got to talk to several folks, see some neat cars, etc so it was fun.

 

Hey Squirrel and LSA,
You guys took some great photos at the event. This giant storm has been pelting So Cal Saturday night and all day today without a let up. It has been moving east and is reaching as far as the Four Corners. Great photo of the Green Monster. It was one of those unusual builds that captured the imagination of a lot of racers. In 1960, one of the earliest Green Monster models came out West to Lions and put on a display of power.
