i seen some very cool projects on here. most better than mine but i would like to share it anyways. i started with a bebop 32 roadster body with stock hinges. fabricated frame rails. that i jigged and put a full pinch on them and bobbed and moved the spreader to back of the body. so here are some pics i did most of the work between christmas and now hoping to get it done in time to go to the white wall rama.
Nice project ya got there. Keep us posted. I especially like the cowl vent idea. Having a 36 with cowl vent and a 32 without, I know how much air it lets in - great thing in warm weather in a car without AC. I know it seems cool to some, but I never liked the idea of removing a cowl vent.....
Very cool looking project Something to be proud of Built not bought!! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Looks good. I am interested in the headlight mounts that bolt to the frame. Are they F1 shock mounts modified?
Well all my stuff is way cooler than yours but everyone else's is not. You got nothing to be ashamed of there. it all looks top shelf to me.
Dylan, How is are your headlight/F-1 mounts bolted to the frame? It doesn't look like they go completely through it. Nutserts? Nuts welded into the outter frame rails? Other? Very nice work, BTW.
The headlight bar not all the way through I welded bungs in the frame. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Just got my hood doesn't fit terrible. It will take some fitting Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I love your optimism! I spent the equivalent of probably a day going from "not terrible" to, "not bad but not really good either". Another day got me to "I guess I can live with this..." Cool car!
And you're gonna love the cowl vent. The body I have has one, makes a huge difference in comfort and original look.
That's really cool! I also love the cowl vent. I'm going to put one on my T sedan after I remove the gas filler door.
I think 34 hoods are harder to fit more curves. I think I got my fitting pretty good or good for me I just have to put the hold downs now. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Got to have cowl vent roadsters get hot with the sun beating down on you. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
That '32 looks good just sitting there...All the proportions are excellent. Pipes exit in a 'cool' place, frame rails fit the body like factory. Little more 'adjusting and massaging' on that hood, gaps will line up nicely. Wish my '27s were a Deuce roadster!!!!!
thanks I'm trying. hoods sill i little tight at 2 comers. i think 27s are just as cool as a 32. heres a pic of one I'm building at the shop
