Having a little contest on one of my Facebook pages this morning and we are trying to figure out what kind of engine this is. Since i'm the administaror of said page i figured i'd cheat a little and ask here.
Note. We've already figured out the answer so it's not really cheating anymore.

  2. almost looks like the engine I pulled out of a 26' Pontiac I parted out a couple years back

  3. I see a what might be a compression release rod & linkage and removeable water jacket covers. Possibly some type of industrial engine. but I haven't a clue.

    WITH 7 MAIN BEARINGS?

  5. Looks a lot like the 1927 or 1928 Chrysler Imperial engine. This is a 1927. I think the 1928 had the rods/linkage.... 1927 Chrysler Imperial.jpg

how about a 1924, since that's what the casting date code says?
