Very impressive work there! You have this 'build' thing down pat. Quick question- how do you fold the flanges at the bottom of the rear quarter panels (must look similar to A somewhat)? I am talking about folding the panel lip around the sub rails. I keep denting mine because I am pressing the two sides together. May just turn into a bondo project. Some secret maybe? The '32's are different Ben but I know what you mean. Honestly, the last model a I did...I trimmed those fingers off because they trap water.
Fired up the glass bead cabinet today, well after I sifted the mouse poop and Debris from the media. Disassembled and blasted a few carbs, hopefully with a little luck I can hear the motor run before I tear the car apart for final welding on the frame.
No entirely exited about rushing the car for a race and spray bombing over rust and crappy welds but it's gotta be done if I plan on going to NJ.
Pete, Looks great!!!!! None of my business realy but you do know they dont allow white wall tires acording to there rules?????
Yup...I know. I have black walls going on for the race. Funny thing is....the rules have pretty much always stated no white walls but every year I see them on the beech
Those white walls are killer. Love the whole stance! It is too bad they "only allow" black walls. I don't know if they line up at all, but were you also thinking of going to the Pure Vintage Racing events with it this year? Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
The white walls will go back on after the race, I'm going for the 50's hot rod look. I'm just swapping the wheels from my '33 for the race.
