Hmmmm... the front leaf springs have a forward linkage instead of a solid mount in front? I've seen it both ways - which is better? Any idea what year the Harrell picture is?
That almost has to be his Z-11 powered Chevy 2. It would have had to be around 1965, since he started campaigning an altered wheelbase Nova when the AWB cars became popular. Also has to be AHRA. I'm pretty sure NHRA Modified Production had to run stock suspension.
Sure looks it there is a what looks like F-1 by the A/MP in the passenger window. And yes stock type suspension required in NHRA.
Just noticed that it says Mike Roberts on the door of the Chevy 2, so the speculation about Harrell could be all wrong. It might be a little later than 65 and a Porcupine under the hood.
Neat!! Loudbang, I always wondered why wagons weren't dominant in the lower classes, where wind drag wasn't as big a deal. That weight up high and at the back has to be good! I had a sedan delivery 56chevy years ago...
I remember this style of paint job from back in the late 60's and I owned an enclosed trailer that I had painted the same way. Remember it was the rage back in those day's Jimbo
Sure was did a couple like that myself. Wish we had the new better "bendable" masking tape like there is out now.
