Its too bad that they went to those little mini cars , as they just don't look like gassers

And after that they just faded away, what a shame

"Love how the steering runs between the manifold and valley pan."

Probably setting up for the dual engines.

I didn't realize it had crashed I've read some articles on it in the past I believe from what I was understanding that his suspension was mainly stock configuration, I was looking for some ideas for my car when I decided to take it from stock to the other side....You just can't thumb threw magazines for ideas as you do with normal cars.... I see in the latest form the rear fenders are opened up I would like to find a good pic of that as that's what is planned for mine.... I'm going with a tube front axle ,coilovers , four bar set up with the coil overs mounting up in the original coil spring pockets I'm wanting it to sit fairly low with the tunnel rammed SB moved back 10% ,scatter shield, M-22,and Dana 60 mounted to s-10 leafs via floaters and lift bars and Carrara 50/50's thanks for the info...[IMG][IMG][IMG]

For those of us in the Studebaker world Ted is one of the good guys. I saw him last week at the York Studebaker Swap Meet.

I actually got to work on Ted's car in the mid/late 90's when I was at Bill Carter's Automotion shop on the south side of Indy.

If you scroll down through that thread there are a couple of pictures of the injected small block version on page 4 (post #110). Lots of other variations too--roll bar, rear wheels (Americans vs. Cragars or Halibrands).

Gary Cochran in his "Roy" (SPE) car. He later purchased the second back motor car built by Fjasted. His one and only rear engine car has since been restored by Al Nosse.

  18. I have no idea how well this car ran but this strikes me as a really classy looking rig. Don't recall ever seeing it before. I think it's mainly the relatively simple light and dark blue paint job. The car must have been a standout among all the bright red and white striped candy apple psychedelic fourteen color panel faded pinstriped paint jobs. :p

Looks like a very early shot of the Adams and Enriquez "Double Eagle" with paint but no lettering.

This was Paul Stevens from Lawrence Illinois at Terre Haute In. He was a mentor to me and a dedicated drag racer all his life.
