a few years ago I found a website that had a List of VIN serial numbers for model T Fords by body style. I no longer can find the site. anyone know of such a site or list?
This has the serial numbers by year and month in the Encyclopedia section. http://www.mtfca.com/encyclo/index.htm I didn't find any reference to the serial number and body style though. It does show production numbers for each body style for each year here http://www.mtfca.com/encyclo/fdprod.htm
Model T serial numbers were stamped on the block. The date of manufacture can be roughly found by the number sequence. There is no way to distinguish between models by the serial number.
you will never find any VIN info for a Model T - did not start using Vehicle Identification Numbers until 1954
Serial numbers where stamped on the block of T's, and also in 1926 they started stamping the frame too. They are not VIN numbers and won't tell you a single thing about the body style. But, if you look at the third digit from the left, and it is between 0 and 9, the body color will be black.
